Frequently Asked Questions

A registered office address is a location where all correspondence and notifications about the business are sent, along with a place to hold and maintain all records and registers of the corporation.

The business can have multiple physical locations; however, only one of those locations will be designated as the official corporate registered office address.

Every corporation must ensure that a registered office has hours of operation from 8am - 5pm and is staffed for at least a minimum of three hours during regular business days.

This requirement is intended to provide the public with a way to contact an organisation and to facilitate service in person when delivering legal documents.

Additionally, a registered office will be located in Singapore; however, it is not necessary for the registered office address to be the actual operating location or location of the business activities. For example, the registered office might be located in Raffles Place, but a factory may be in Tuas.

Sole proprietorships or partnerships will have the business address entered when you register them.

A registered office address and a business address generally have fewer requirements compared to using a P.O. Box as the official business address.

Your residential address may be used as your business address if you obtain approval from HDB or URA under the Home Office Scheme. However, using your home address is not recommended due to privacy concerns.

A registered office address would have both an Unique Entity Number (UEN) as well as an HDB number, while a business address would only have one of those numbers.

An operating address is actually the city/town where your company is physically located. There is no set standard operating address required by ACRA, but other government agencies may have additional standards they would like you to follow for your business's operating address.

As an example, the MOM, and the SFA may have specific guidelines regarding the physical address of all types of businesses.

The registered office is the same exact location where your company is officially registered to conduct business in Singapore, however your registered office doesn't have to be your company's actual location of operation.

For example, if your company's registered office is located on Paya Lebar Square, yet your actual manufacturing facility or factory is located in Tuas, then there's no conflict at all in that respect.

Even though the name suggests otherwise, a virtual office still has a real physical location so companies like ACRA will accept them as legitimate company locations.

The founders of this company are former entrepreneurs who have experienced first-hand the many challenges entrepreneurs encounter in their pursuit of achieving success. One of these challenges is finding a professional office address.

As startups, our temporary office locations frequently changed based on our changing requirements; therefore our offices moved frequently. We discovered that by providing a permanent registered address service that could be used anywhere in Singapore at an affordable price would give entrepreneurs significant relief from the headaches associated with finding a new office location every time they changed their business model.

To remain competitive in price, we have made an investment in our IT systems which enables us to service a large number of accounts with efficiencies associated with the technology we developed as a result of this investment. We have also reduced our risk of human error because of the efficiencies our systems create.

Due to these investments, we can provide the cheapest virtual office service in Singapore and remain profitable.
